On a boring day at the age of ten I chanced upon an old wooden axle yo-yo and started playing with it. One YouTube search later I was hooked, having discovered an entire community of yo-yo manufacturers, collectors, and competitors from all over the world! Since that day, yo-yo has always been a part of my life.
I have always loved making yo-yo montages. Here's one made on the UC Berkeley campus by my good friend Keiran Cooper (a top ten 1A player in the world, by the way).
As a kid I wanted to be the very best (like no one ever was), attending many competitions throughout California. Check out my (rather sloppy) routine from the 2015 Bill Liebowitz Classic in Hollywood.
In 2015 I was honored to give TEDx Talk on the history of yo-yos (with a demo of course!) at TEDxSouthPasadena.
