Mental Health

To say I am very passionate about mental health would be an understatement.  We are experiencing a global mental health crisis; depression is now the leading cause of disability globally.  Fortunately, our society is beginning to acknowledge this pandemic, and it has become less taboo to discuss.

Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services was the first Suicide Prevention Center in the country and serves as the Los Angeles branch of the national 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.  As a volunteer counselor, I field calls from help-seekers, performing crisis counseling, suicide risk assessments, and mandated reports.  I service multiple hotlines, including the 988 Crisis Line, Disaster Distress Helpline, and 911 Diversion Line, among others.
